Packing for Umrah can feel overwhelming — especially if it’s your first time. This guide is specially created for North American Muslims who are flying to Saudi Arabia in 2025.

✅ Section 1: Essential Travel Documents

These should be with you in hand luggage at all times:

Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
Saudi Visa printout or confirmation
Airline tickets & hotel bookings
COVID-19 vaccination certificate (if required)
Emergency contact numbers
Credit card + some cash (USD + SAR)
Travel insurance documents
Ihram travel guide or app

💡 Tip: Use a neck pouch or travel wallet for safety at airports.

🕋 Section 2: Ihram & Clothing

For Men:

2 sets of Ihram (white towels, no stitches)
Sandals/slippers without stitching
Ihram belt with secure pouch
Comfortable loose pants/shirt for hotel
Lightweight jacket (if going Jan–Feb)

For Women:

2–3 abayas (lightweight, breathable fabric)
Underscarves & hijab pins
Comfortable walking shoes or sandals
Modest nightwear (hotel use)
Niqab (if worn)
